Echoes & Mirrors - reflections taken out of professionally photographed mirrors in the late 1800’s.
These photographs intended to promote the mirrors’ frames. The photographers tried to hide their reflections to portray the purity of the frames but did not entirely succeed.
Taken out of their original context & out of their frames, these reflections exist as echoes, less accurate then reflections, diminished versions of their original.
